With our one day cataract services, patients can come to our OPD for testing and confirmation of the cataract diagnosis along with the surgical procedure all on the same day without requiring admission and at an affordable cost.
What is the best lens for cataract surgery ?
There is no single best lens suitable for all patients.
We believe in selecting the best lens for you based on your lifestyle and requirements. Currently we have a wide range of intra ocular lenses like - 1. Monofocal (will require near vision glasses) - preferred for patients with diabetes and retinal diseases and drivers.
2. Multifocal (no glasses for distance and near) preferred for patients requiring prolonged laptop use or are motivated to get rid of glasses

3.Toric lenses (for cyclindrical number) are preferred for patients with high cylinder number.
4.EDOF lens (Enhanced depth of focus) are preferred in patients who are unsuitable for multifocal lenses but desire a relatively glass free life.
5.Multipiece lens is preferred in patients where the support for regular lens is not adequate and used in special situations.
What is cataract surgery cost in India ?
India is amongst the lowest cost cataract surgery countries in the world.
This relative low cost and low wait time is thanks to competent doctors and steps taken by Indian companies in getting the cost down for lens implant.
The lens implant (which forms the bulk of the cost of surgery) decides the final cost of cataract surgery. Phacoemulsification surgeries can range from ten thousand to more than one lakh depending on the type of lens implant you choose.
As we have already discussed in the adjoining answer that lens needs to be tailored to individual needs and requirements and therefore the price of the surgery will also vary.
It is important to understand that a costly lens may not always be the best for you.
We highly encourage you to discuss with your doctor about the lens thats best suited to you and personalise it to your needs.
